We are excited to share some exciting news – MHz Foundation has officially rebranded as Curationist Foundation!
Dear Curationist Community,
We have some exciting news: MHz Foundation is now Curationist Foundation! This new identity and rebrand reflects our growing commitment to connecting people with global cultural resources and perspectives through open knowledge, with Curationist.org at the heart of our mission.
Our New Identity, Same Mission
Our name has changed, but our mission and purpose remain the same. Curationist Foundation works to bridge cultural divides by providing open access to diverse cultural heritage and narratives while empowering individuals and communities to engage with and contribute to shared knowledge.
Our Journey So Far
Since 2001, we have been on a journey to bring global culture and perspectives to growing audiences:
2001: We began as MHz Networks, delivering global cultural content as a broadcaster in the Washington, D.C. metro area through a partnership with local public media partners.
2013: We transitioned into an independent nonprofit organization to deepen our global impact.
2015: We rebranded as MHz Foundation, focusing on broader cultural programming.
2018-2022: We developed and launched Curationist.org, expanding access to arts, culture, and heritage for a global audience.
2024: Now, as Curationist Foundation, we’re taking the next big step, connecting the world through open knowledge with more impact.
Big Things Are Coming
With our new identity comes new opportunities. We’re working on a new project that will make it easier to engage with the world’s cultural treasures and participate in our growing community. Trust us—you won’t want to miss what’s next!
We are preparing to launch of our Museum Services Line with an open call for partners who want to collaborate on growing and deepening the open access archives of art and cultural heritage.
